Definition: Information. At this point, acceptable to use as a singular noun.

Example: The data is inconclusive, as it does not show a clear trend.

Definition: A measurement or otherwise unprocessed digitization with enough context to know what the data refers to.

Example: I have quantitative data which all come from people's heights, and qualitative data of recordings of people reflecting on how they feel about their height
